The Relay will be held at the Hilton Head Recreation Center. We need volunteers to help set up the pavillion/tent, to bring some tables and chairs from the church. Resurrection Church will not only be walking in the relay, we will be selling dessert snacks to benefit the ACS so we will be needing people to man the sales table throughout the night.
I have to work until 5:30 on Friday, so please let me know if you can assist with the setup earlier. The field will be available after 3 pm.
If you are planning to walk the relay, remember that this goes on ALL NIGHT LONG (as Lionel Richie would say!). Other participants will be selling hot dogs, sodas, other treats. There will be a bouncy house opportunity for the kids. Remember, too, that when darkness falls, the luminiaria will be lit (these will be all along the track) that were purchased in honor of cancer victims and survivors. It is definitely not too late to purchase these if you would like. They are $10 for one, or $25 for three.
